Welcome to Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School.
Founded in 1932 by the Salesian Sisters, our thriving and welcoming school is situated in Cowley and serves the parish of Our Lady Help of Christians, as well as other neighbouring parishes.
The Salesian order was created by St John Bosco in 1859 and Salesians across the world devote their lives to working with young people. We are very proud to be the only primary school in the Salesian fellowship of schools and we work closely with Salesian secondary schools across the country to ensure that the four pillars of Salesianity are given equal importance: home, school, playground and church.
Our mission statement is at the heart of everything we do: “You are young, you are precious and you are loved.” Our very dedicated staff team are exemplary in their commitment to our school’s Salesian ethos and show full loyalty to the words of St John Bosco:
“It is not enough to love the young, they must know they are loved.”
Our ambitious curriculum leads children to academic excellence with high academic results over the past eight years. We also have an excellent list of sporting achievements over the past 20 years! We nurture children’s individual God-given gifts and talents in the form of RUAH: respect, understanding, affection and humour which permeates through everything that we do.
We are a diverse school who work together as one family with RUAH at the centre. We are very proud of our school and all visitors are most welcome. Please contact the admin office to arrange an appointment.
God bless,
