To help your child settle smoothly into nursery life, we offer three ‘Stay and Play’ sessions. These sessions are designed to support your child in becoming familiar with the nursery environment, daily routines, and staff.

During the first session, parents are encouraged to stay with their child and spend time speaking with the class teacher. This helps your child feel secure while giving you the opportunity to share important information about their needs and routines.

The second and third sessions give your child the opportunity to attend independently, if they are comfortable, allowing them to build confidence and familiarity with the nursery setting.

At the end of the three settling-in sessions, we will meet with you to confirm your child’s official start date or discuss whether they may benefit from additional settling-in support.

Settling-in sessions take place during your child’s usual session times, helping them become familiar with other children, daily routines, and the nursery curriculum on those days.
