Sunshine Nursery
Nursery Fees and Payment Terms
Nursery fees are calculated at the end of each half term for the following term. Full payment is required within two weeks of receiving your invoice, which will be sent via email. All payments are managed through Arbor, where you can view your account balance and choose to pay in instalments if required. Please note that the full balance must be settled by the payment deadline stated on the invoice.
Fees remain payable even if a child is absent due to illness, holidays, or any other reason during term time.
Full-Time Places and Funded Entitlement
Children attending full time are entitled to the universal 15 hours of funded childcare at no charge. Any hours attended in addition to this entitlement will be charged, unless the family is eligible for the 30 hours government-funded childcare.
Families who qualify for the 30-hour entitlement (as detailed in the Eligibility for 30 Hours Free Childcare section) will have these additional hours funded by the government. Please note that a 30-minute supervision period between sessions (15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon) is not covered by government funding and is therefore chargeable. This fee is set by the governing body to cover staffing costs.

Late Payments and Additional Charges
A £10 late payment charge will be applied if payment is not received by the due date stated on the invoice. If fees remain unpaid for one month, the nursery reserves the right to withdraw the child’s place.
Notice Period for Withdrawal or Changes
If you wish to withdraw your child from the nursery or make changes to their booked hours, one full month’s written notice is required. Failure to provide the required notice will result in charges for the full month’s fees.
Funding Options
15 Hours Universal Entitlement
All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours of free early education per week during term time (38 weeks per year), regardless of family income.
30 Hours Free Childcare
Some families may be eligible for 30 hours of free childcare per week. To qualify, both parents (or the single parent in a single-parent household) must be working and earning the equivalent of at least 16 hours per week at the national minimum wage.

Childcare Voucher Schemes

Nursery Lunches
Children attending the nursery are not able to access hot school meals. Parents and carers are asked to provide a healthy packed lunch each day.
Lunchtime is an important part of the nursery day, allowing children to relax, eat together, and develop valuable social skills. We encourage parents to provide a nutritious and balanced lunch to support healthy growth and sustained energy throughout the afternoon.
