Our Year 6 pupils loved spending time with the Foundation children this week, sharing their favourite stories and reading aloud together. It’s a great way to build confidence, develop speaking skills, and inspire a love of reading. The friendships growing between year groups make these moments even more special.
Ruby class began a new DT topic. We explored where some of our food comes from, then sorted real foods into two groups: those that come from plants and those that come from animals.
Scarlett Class made a fantastic start to our Maths topic on fractions today, exploring how to find one half of different amounts. Through hands-on activities and discussion, the children learned to split quantities into two equal parts and explain their thinking.A brilliant first step into fractions well done everyone! 👏

Reception Class got our new topic Ready Steady Grow off to a fantastic start with a visit from Stuart at Earth Trust. The children loved planting fruit, vegetables, and flowers in our garden and prayer space. We can’t wait to watch everything grow and enjoy strawberries, peas, and potatoes soon!
Olive Class have kicked off their Ancient Egyptian topic with some fantastic artwork! The children explored patterns, symbols and colours, creating eye-catching pieces inspired by ancient Egypt. A brilliant start to our new topic-well done, Olive Class!
The board games created by Sapphire class were absolutely fantastic! This morning, children from Sapphire and Aqua came together to share and play them, showing great teamwork and enthusiasm. With such inventive ideas and plenty of fun, it’s safe to say Mr Monopoly might have some serious competition!
Aqua children have been busy preparing fresh ingredients for their delicious soups, ready to be finished at home with you! Each child has carefully packed a sealed bag containing pepper, onion, tomato, and basil everything they need to create something tasty together. We hope you enjoy this special cooking experience at home! 🍅🧅🌿
Well done to all the children who took part in the iRock concert today! It was a real treat to see the amazing talent at Our Lady’s, and we were even treated to a fantastic performance of Wonderwall by Oasis! 🎶👏

We have spotted the frogs that are living in our pond (although only a few times as they are a little shy!), and we are very pleased to say we now have some frogspawn too. We will keep you updated as our pond life grows. 🐸

Emerald and Olive classes, alongside some incredibly helpful Year 6 pupils, made fantastic progress on their electric car projects today as they prepare for next Thursday’s learning showcase. We’re excited to present our designs and share what we’ve learned about electric circuits, as well as explore the many benefits of electric cars!
We enjoyed an exciting VR experience exploring the human body in detail. It was a great hands-on way to bring science to life and spark curiosity.
