Sapphire class had a fantastic visit to the JR Hospital, where the children took part in a first aid training session. They learned important life-saving skills, including what to do in an emergency and how CPR helps keep oxygen flowing to the brain and body.
Aqua took part in DT soup taste testing this afternoon and had great fun! We spent time looking at, smelling, tasting and evaluating a range of different vegetable soups. The children were very brave when trying them, and some even discovered that they actually liked them!
It was really interesting to find out that some children had never tasted soup before, so this was a brand-new experience. They were fantastic at identifying the main vegetables in each soup, and some children were even able to name several of the ingredients correctly.
A fun (and tasty!) afternoon of learning!
This morning we had a fantastic visit from the wonderful author M. G. Leonard! She brought great energy and enthusiasm as she shared her experiences as a writer and spoke about her brilliant books. The children were extremely well behaved, asked thoughtful questions, and were very excited to hear about the stories and characters she has created.
It was a truly inspiring session that sparked lots of interest in reading and writing. A huge thank you to M. G. Leonard for such an engaging and memorable visit!
Year 5 and 6 really excelled themselves today and had an amazing time during their Frozen expedition at Snozone. They showed fantastic enthusiasm and made the most of every moment! ⛷️✨
Emerald enjoyed talking today about our Spring topic of Cowley with the Reception children, who are learning about our local area this week.
Mr Brett and I heard lots of fantastic conversations taking place today, and the Year 4 pupils were brilliant experts!
As part of World Book Day, we have begun our “Story in a Box” project. The children explored a story in a creative, hands-on way, and the results are fantastic just look at how amazing their boxes turned out!
We had a fantastic World Book Day at school today! The hallways were full of colourful costumes and wonderful book characters. Pupils enjoyed quizzes, shared stories, and celebrated the joy of reading. Thank you to our staff, families, and pupils for making it such a special day.
We had a truly fantastic day! The children were brilliant throughout and participated enthusiastically in every activity. Their attitude and behaviour were exemplary, and several members of staff commented on how impressive they were.
They took part in an engaging engineering seminar before putting their new knowledge into practice by designing and building their own bridges.
A fantastic morning of pizza-making fun!
Aqua class loved their trip to Pizza Express and really impressed the staff with their amazing cooking skills possibly the best class pizzas they’ve seen!
The children enjoyed their creations for lunch, with some saving a slice for later. If you get a taste, we hope you enjoy it as much as they did! 🍕
Thank you to Lime Class for sharing this week’s Gospel message. We were reminded that Jesus was proclaimed as SACRED by God on Mount Tabor. Lime Class has encouraged us to reflect on the sacred spaces and places we use regularly, what is it that makes them sacred?
Sunshine has finally arrived today so Ruby class got busy working on their scientific investigation: what is the best way to protect our skin from the Sun's harmful rays. Children used special colour changing UV beads to test what gives us the most protection-water, sun cream or our hats.
